Description

  • Fertility leading up to the breeding is essential, both parents need to be in excellent condition to produce healthy ova and sperm.

  • Pathogens will live, feed and breed in the intestine of the birds as the intestinal muscosa is a perfect habitat for them to thrive and multiply. In the worst case scenario, the birds immune system cannot cope.

  • Ad-Herb lifts the mucosa layer away and it is passed out with the faeces, flushing with it, the pathogens. Over time, with continued use the levels of harmful pathogens are reduced and the birds natural immune system is restored; leading to enhanced feather quality, clear eyes and warm feet due to improved circulation. The droppings of the bird should now take on a firm consistency, a clear sign that everything in the gut is functioning correctly.

  • At around six weeks before breeding, Supreme Gold can be added to a high pea protein breeding mix two or three times a week. This is very high in natural vitamin E and will help build fertility levels. Use this during breeding and rearing with Ad-Herb, adding Natravit, a natural multivitamin that will increase vitamin levels within the bird.

  • Give Ad-Herb to the parents, as they will pass this to the youngsters in the milk. Continue to use this programme on the youngsters. At two weeks weaned, stop the use of Supreme Gold, carrying on with the Ad-Herb and Natravit.

  • Keeping the youngsters in top condition and growing steadily is now of utmost importance, do not stress them unduly, keeping feeding times and exercise consistent.

  • Grits and minerals should always be made available to the birds.
